Dial: The dial pictured here is silver-toned, but the Datejust series offers a variety of dial colors, including silver, white, black, and champagne. The dial features Rolex’s classic bar-shaped hour markers, creating a simple and elegant look. The dial is complemented by blued steel hands (some models also feature a luminescent coating for enhanced dark reading). Both the hour markers and hands are coated with luminescent material, ensuring legibility in dim light. A date window, a signature feature of the Datejust series, is located at 3 o’clock. The date window features a cyclops lens, which magnifies the date 2.5x for enhanced readability. The Oyster bracelet is a patented Rolex design, offering exceptional durability and water resistance. The Datejust series is equipped with Rolex-developed self-winding mechanical movements, such as the common caliber 3235 (varies depending on the model). These movements offer exceptional precision, stability, and durability. They undergo rigorous testing and adjustments by Rolex and are certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). Rolex has also further optimized and refined these movements for even higher performance, including a longer power reserve (typically around 70 hours for a self-winding movement, depending on the movement) and more accurate and reliable timekeeping. In terms of waterproof performance, the Datejust series is usually waterproof to 100 meters (some models have different waterproof depths, such as some Datejust Oyster Perpetual models with a waterproof depth of 100 meters, which can meet the waterproof needs in daily life, such as washing hands, getting caught in the rain, etc., but it is not suitable for deep underwater activities such as swimming and diving.
